Timber treatment for dry rot & woodworm

Woodworm and dry rot are the two biggest threats to structural timbers in UK properties. With over ????? years’ experience, R Bryn Jones  can treat any such infestation. Whether treating timber from new builds or historical buildings, you can rest assured we will take great care.

Woodworm and beetles

Woodworm holes found in timber are caused by the larvae of beetles that feed on the timber. The larger holes on the wood surface are formed when the adult beetle emerges from the timber. There are a number of species of woodworm, and the specific method of treatment will depend on which species is attacking the timber.

Dry rot and wet rot

Dry and wet rot are both fungi which attack and destroy wood for food. Wet and dry rot cause the deterioration of the timber which can have serious consequences in structural sections. R Bryn Jones Ltd can replace defective timbers and undertake repairs, where necessary, to retained sections. All retained timber is treated to prevent further infection.

All of our work is guaranteed and we are fully insured for your peace of mind.
