How does cellar tanking work?

Having a tanking system in your cellar will ensure that moisture does not enter through the walls or the floor into the internal environment, and when coupled with proper heating and ventilation, a dry room will be created. Tanking, the traditional method of basement waterproofing, is achieved using a mix of render and waterproof agents in a cement mix, which is applied to walls and the floor.
